This section of Business Services monitors the computerized attendance accounting network at Chico Unified school sites. We provide an information system on attendance, enrollment and class size for use by other school district departments and other authorized agencies.

Central Attendance files all necessary attendance and enrollment reports with the State, which generates a source of income for the district.  At 2003-2004 Revised budget, this represented 68.89% of the total revenue and 95% of the unrestricted revenues. On the downside, for every student absence, the district loses $34.72.

Additionally, Central Attendance audits school attendance accounting procedures to assure compliance with CA Education Code.

Finally, as the depository for records on all graduated or previously enrolled students, Central Attendance is the designated custodian of records.
