CHS-Architecture
Architecture
is a progressive, hands on, interactive program, with multiple course
offerings that offer students unique design experiences. ROP CAD
Drafting is the capstone class which offers students the opportunity to
work in local Architectural offices as interns their Junior and Senior
school years. Students will be introduced to architectural design
principles in all classes and create plans used in industry that meet
Uniform Building Code Standards. All classes use industry standard
hardware and software. AutoCAD and Revit are the software programs of
choice. Students who complete Architectural Design and CAD will meet
requirements for Visual and Performing Arts for graduation as well as
admissions for California Universities. Students may also obtain
transferable college credit through the Butte College Tech-Prep program
by passing beginning classes with a grade of 'B' or better.
CHS-Engineering
Engineering is
a progressive, hands on, interactive program, with multiple course
offerings that offer students unique design experiences. ROP CAD
Drafting is the capstone class which offers students the opportunity to
work in local Engineering and Manufacturing offices as interns their
Junior and Senior school years. Students will be introduced to a variety
of design and manufacturing problems which prepare them for college
level and Industry style work. All classes use industry standard
hardware and software. Solidworks and AutoCAD are the software programs
of choice. Students may also obtain transferable college credit through
the Butte College Tech-Prep program by passing beginning classes with a
grade of 'B' or better.
