ACCESS TO PENAL AND CIVIL LAWS OF THE STATE

The Attorney General has made available information concerning crimes committed against persons or property on school grounds. This information includes, but is not limited to, reporting requirements, explanations of crimes and procedures for reporting crimes, explanation of the procedure by which any person or the school may initiate the prosecution of offenders for these crimes, an explanation of parental liability for injury or property damages resulting from the intentional acts of a minor, and an explanation of any right to benefits as a consequence of injury or damage resulting from these crimes.

AUTHORITY OF BUS DRIVER

Students transported in a school bus or in a school student activity bus shall be under the authority of, and responsible to, the driver of the bus, and the driver shall be held responsible for the orderly conduct of the students while they are on the bus or being escorted across a street, highway or road. Continuing disorderly conduct or persistent refusal to submit to the authority of the driver shall be sufficient reason for a student to be denied transportation. A bus driver shall not require any student to leave the bus en route between home and school or other destinations.
