Grants and Resource Development
The Chico Unified School District provides grant and resource development assistance, primarily at the district level. This includes researching, writing, and submitting applications to state, federal, and private funding sources, managing the grants that have been awarded, and ensuring that all requirements for funding are met.

We can also provide training and technical assistance to teachers and/or administrators who want to submit grants for classroom or site-based programs. If you are interested, contact Liz Metzger.

And if you're ready to start writing on your own, the Grants and Resource Development webpage provides:
  • information on the application process (including the "Intent to Submit" form required before you begin writing, and project planning forms)
  • links to open funding competitions (including those with rolling deadlines)
  • online "how-to" resources for writing grants
  • links to data called for in many grant applications
Please remember to fill out an Intent to Apply before you begin writing.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Janet Brinson at 891-3000 x105 or Liz Metzger at 891-3000 x144.
