Air Quality
Our administration continually monitors air quality at our school sites and all advisories issued for Butte County. During days of poor air quality, any student or person within the sensitive group has the option to stay indoors. Our schools follow the Air Quality Index and activities may be restricted or canceled as a result of poor air quality.

Chico Unified follows the Air Quality Indez (AQI) and follow all advisories from the Butte County Air Quality Management District and the Butte County Public Health Department.

Air Quality Index Guidelines
Chico Unified Schools continually monitors the Air Quality Index. Should levels reach an Index value of 200 or more, then all outdoor and sporting game activities will be canceled. Parents are encouraged to monitor our website's homepage for updates and additional information.
