Dear Parents and Community Members,
On behalf of Chico Unified School District, I would like to assure you that student and school safety is our top priority and we never take that safety for granted. We conduct school safety trainings and "code red" drills on a regular basis and we have both school site and district safe school teams in place. Our safe school plans, including those that would be invoked in a situation like the one that occurred in Connecticut, are up to date and reviewed annually. For information about being prepared for a school emergency, please read our Emergency Information Guide for Parents & Guardians.
