California state law requires that school districts annually notify parents/guardians and students of various rights and responsibilities. It further requires that school districts maintain written records confirming that parents/guardians have been so informed.

At the beginning of each school year, or when a student registers, a Parents'/Students' Rights and Responsibilities is provided to each student/parent or guardian via the Aeries Parent Portal. Paper copies may be made available upon request.  It is important that each parent/guardian read the document, then indicate their approval in the Aeries Parent Portal.
