K-12 District Facilities: Students - We Want to Hear from You!

| | The CUSD Board is in the process of making important decisions regarding K-12 district facilities. The Board has hosted three workshops to get input from students, staff, parents, and community members. A fourth workshop is scheduled for Thursday, November 8, 6:00-8:00p.m. at Marsh Jr. High School in the Library. | |

| | The PVHS Student Leadership class invited the Interim Superintendent, Kelly Staley, to their class to discuss the Bond and Facilities. The students brainstormed the following ideas about facility needs and voted on the importance of each item before the meeting: | |

| | 1. New bleachers and all-weather football field (36) 2. Field House/Gym with team rooms/bathrooms (35) - 2 PE classrooms and storage 3. Two-story classroom building to replace portables (31) 4. Performing ArtsCenter (PAC) (23) - Band classroom, Chorus classroom, storage 5. Swimming pool for PE/Athletics (20) 6. Whole school painting – improve paint scheme (17) 7. Expand/Improve Valhalla/cafeteria facilities (13) 8. Eradicate gophers and level/seed playing fields (11) 9. Landscaping (11) 10. Update/improve PE locker rooms (5) 11. Update Library (0) 12. Smart boards in classrooms
