| | Avoid Unexcused Absences and Tardies!
Unexcused absences and tardies are an ongoing problem that could lead to your student losing credits. Excessive absences or tardies could lead to a referral to the School Attendance Review Board. Please see below for the reasons for excused and unexcused absences. If your student is going to be absent or late, a parent or guardian must call the school at 895-4047 ext. 1 before 9:00 a.m. to report the absence or tardy.

- Oversleeping
- Visiting relatives
- Car trouble
- Parent or guardian illness
- Providing child care for young children/siblings
- Lack of transportation
- Student’s birthday
- Translating for family members

- Illness
- Medical, dental, or counseling appointments
- Court appearance
- Funeral services for immediate family
- Quarantine
- Drug testing appointment
