A message from Jim Fleet

| | Twice selected Colorado History Teacher of the Year, Jim Fleet has written the scripts and served as content sonsultant for America Past.
Fleet was the host and narrator for the series Historically Speaking, a survey of the history of the Western world from about 1500 to the present.
He also produced "Weaponless Warrior," a special program commemorating the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that earned a Freedom Foundation Award.
In 1987 he received the Excellence on Teaching Award from the Colorado Teacher's Foundation and an award for teaching from the Colorado State Board of Education.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Denver University.
Fleet is a former teacher of American and world history at John F. Kennedy High School in Denver.
After extensive research (Thanks Mr. Battaglia) we have discovered that Fleet is alive and kicking, and an amazing man to be sure! And his son has followed in his footsteps and is a teacher in Colorado.
We hope to arrange to meet Mr. Fleet and invite him to come visit Chico sometime in the near future.
