Welcome!

The mission of the Chico High Academic Mentor Program (CHAMP) is to provide one-to-one mentor relationships for students who need academic support, students who need help achieving grade level in literacy skills, and students who want to explore a specific career pathway.

Since the inception of the program in 2001, CHAMP has provided mentors for over 650 students. Mentors have logged close to 50,000 volunteer hours.

Mentoring relationships create continuing cycles of hope and promise, as they not only provide positive influences for individual children, but also strengthen families, businesses and communities.

We invite your participation and support! As Margaret Mead says, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
