- March 10: Science Fair Project Afternoon Check-in and evening judging
- March 11: Evening viewing of Science Fair 5-8 pm
- March 12: Applications due for those projects entered in the Chico Science Fair

|  Students practice psycho-motor activities to strengthen their bodies and minds. |  Classroom Instructions makes use of activities that provide hands-on experiences as often as possible. |  The school garden is used to help students with science and nutrition. |

|  Computer Technology is used for intervention help, instruction, and as a methodology for student performance assessments. |  Teamwork is a lifeskill practiced by all classrooms. |  Service Learning provides students an opportunity to give back to the community. |

|  Older students help younger students in all content areas. They are valued role models. |  To provide as many hands-on opportunities and real-life learning experiences as possible, classrooms go on multiple field trips each year. |  Parents are an integral element in the success of the Open Structured Classrooms at Hooker Oak. |
