| | Hooker Oak Elementary, as an Open Structured Classroom Alternative School of Choice, takes recommendations and guidance from the Parent Advisory Board which meets monthly at the school, The Parent Advisory Board (PAB) is composed to parents and staff. The PAB is led by two co-moderators. Also within PAB's governing board, the following jobs exist: secretary, PCC's (Parent Classroom Coordinators), and treasurer. Included in the PAB are the committees of Fundraising, Publicity, Events, Green School and Garden, and Carnival.
