Homework
This Week's Homework
Long-Term Projects
|
| | - Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work habits.
- Children should work on written homework/and or projects for no more than 30-45 minutes each night, Monday through Thursday. They should also read for 15 minutes each night and/or be read to by an older sibbling or parent.
- We lost our Title One funded after-school Homework Club, BUT Beth is willing to stay in at lunch on Thursdays to supervise HW Club.
- This class does not give homework on weekends, so that students have time to spend with family and friends. But, students should use weekends to catch up on any past due commitments. Also, if students like, they can begin their HW packets over the weekend, as they are available the Friday before they are due. (Due on Fridays, checked in and reorganized that same day and placed in children's take-home mailbox cubbies.)
- If you feel that your child is spending too much or too little time on his or her assignments, please let me know. Please work with your child to stay on top of long-term projects. The HW cover sheets always have due dates posted on them, as well as the weekly or bi-weekly Beth notes and even your child's hand written weekly log sheets. Also, this site has a calendar link which often has due dates. I like to keep you well informed!
