In order to help our students achieve these goals, all students are expected to observe these standards: BE RESPECTFUL - Be respectful to, and follow the instructions of, any and all adults on the campus.
- Use appropriate language; vulgar, obscene, insulting words are not allowed.
- Treat fellow students courteously.
- Threatening or fighting with others while at school, en route to or from school is forbidden.
- Maintain a discrimination, harassment and retaliation-free environment.
BE RESPONSIBLE - Stay off the school grounds until 8:00 A.M.
- If participating in our school breakfast program, you may enter cafeteria at 7:45 A.M.
- Leave distractions at home, such as, but not limited to, games, toys, electronics, sports equipment, gum and candy.
BE SAFE - Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Walk in all hallways, on sidewalks and blacktop areas.
- Play and eat in designated areas only.
- Enter buildings only with a supervisor present.
- Refrain from riding bicycles, scooters, sneaker skates, skates, skateboards, or roller blades on school property.
- Refrain from any dangerous or unsafe activities on school grounds.
- Play only approved games. Kicking, tackling, jumping on others and other rough play is not permitted.
- Line up, enter and exit the cafeteria in a quiet and orderly manner. Pupils will walk from classroom to cafeteria.
- Sit at cafeteria tables and eat meals in a quiet, orderly manner.
- Begging for or trading food with others is not permitted.
DRESS STANDARDS 1. Hats or caps may be worn only outdoors. In order to protect eyes and face from the sun, the hat bill of caps must be faced forward. 2. Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times. Clothing such as halter, spaghetti straps, tube or low-cut tops, bare midriffs, excessively short shorts or skirts, sheer garments, and sagging pants are prohibited. 3. Footwear must be safe for active outdoor play. Sandals and slip-on shoes must have back straps. Sandals must be worn with socks. 4. Apparel which displays profanity, obscenity, gang affiliation, advertisements for drugs, alcohol or tobacco, or any other message that is demeaning to any gender/racial/ethnic group are prohibited. 5. Make-up may not be worn. Parents will be notified by the office or teacher when clothing has been considered inappropriate. | |
