| | This is an introductory computer class. Students will start by learning to use the keyboard and mouse. Efficient keyboarding will result from daily touch typing practice, without looking at the keyboard. Everything done in this class is designed to help students with their work at school, make them more efficient students, and give them creative ideas for presenting their work.
Word Processing: Students will learn to format a business letter and a school report.
Desktop Publishing: Students will learn the power and flexibility of a page layout program for combining text, graphics, charts and graphs.
Database: Students will learn to create a customer list, with customer preferences, and write a letter using mail merge.
HyperStudio: Students will learn to create multimedia presentations using this flexible open-ended program. | |

| | This class is designed to teach students the fundamentals of video production, using camcorders and desktop computer video editing. Students will learn video techniques, editing procedures, and computer desktop video production. | |

| | 8th Grade Only
Prerequisite: One computer class and permission of instructor (see Mr. Williams)
This class has the primary responsibility for the creation of the Marsh Junior High School yearbook. Students will develop presentation skills using Power Point and HyperStudio, use web page design to create web pages, learn desktop publishing for the yearbook. Students will also be introduced to 3D design and animation. | |
