| | SVTV is Sierra View's own personal TV program. Two of Sierra View's 6th grade teachers, Mr. Passanisi and Mr. Bender, thought it would be a good idea to start a school TV program several years ago.
The program began as a good way to get information to students. Some information includes school news, sports, and special announcements. Many times there are announcements from PTA, Student Council or other groups that cover special events.
SVTV is run by the 6th graders. They do the filming, directing, editing, create the graphics, and make the announcements. SVTV is filmed mainly in the library and is aired every other Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. The program lasts for 15 minutes.
Students at Sierra View really like SVTV. Their favorite feature is Sports Corner where the announcers talk about local and professional sports. | |
