About KidLinks

KidLinks is a project begun by Nancy Leek, CUSD Elementary Librarian in 2000-2002, and continued by CUSD Junior High Library Media Teachers Nancy Leek, Gale Morgan, and Karan White during the 2002-2003 school year.  With elimination of these positions, maintenance of this site has ceased until further notice.

KidLinks was created by Nancy Leek, District Elementary Librarian for the Chico (CA) Unified School District.  It was created to guide K-6 students to useful and age-appropriate sites. These sites are recommended for children from ages 5 to 12 and their families. Recommendations apply only to sites listed, not to any sites that may be linked from these sites.

Please note that KidLinks is not an Internet filter. It does not prevent client web browsers from being used to surf any URL address that the user inputs. It is intended to guide users to good sites; not block them from "bad" sites. However, it may be used in conjunction with a filter product.
