The Robert W. Cranston Library serves over 1900 students and 100 teachers.  We moved into our facility in the fall of 1994.  The 12,000 square foot library media center is comprised of a career center, a library technology classroom, three small conference rooms, a mini computer lab and the main library floor.

The main library has a book collection of 24,000 books, art prints, cassette and CD music and films.  There are 50 IBM compatible computers available for research with  seven electronic databases,  eleven CD-ROM applications, internet access and an on-line card catalog.

A mini computer lab features two high end computers available for individual student use.  Use of this room requires a picture ID and it is advisable to reserve in advance.

The Career Center provides resources to assist students and parents in their search for information regarding career exploration, occupational trends, aptitude assessment, as well as vocational, two and four-year colleges and universities. These resources are in the form of printed books and brochures, videos, audiotapes and DVD’s, which are available for check out. The Career Center computers are equipped with programs and internet links for up to the minute information. There are also periodic visits from various representatives from organizations and colleges who interact with students.

The library technology classroom aka L-2 lab, has thirty three IBM compatible computers with Microsoft Office and Internet access and several specialized computer applications.
