Welcome, staff and families! To assist with vacation and childcare arrangements, our Board of Education approves student calendars in advance. You'll find the current Board-approved student calendars below. Please remember that regular attendance is important for student success!

The first day of school for the 2026-27 school year is Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Students only attend school in the morning. A sack lunch is available for students who wish to have school lunch on these days. Minimum days provide valuable time for teachers to collaborate, develop lesson plans, and participate in professional development opportunities or parent/teacher conferences.

This is for junior high and high school families.
Once a week, students will have a later start time at school. This allows teachers to remain on campus for collaboration with colleagues and prep time for lessons and curriculum planning.

Once a week, students will have an early release from school. This time allows teachers to remain on campus for collaboration with colleagues, professional development and prep time for lesson and curriculum planning.

ALL Chico Unified School District students (TK - 12) are released early, and bus routes bring students home early. Teachers and staff spend the afternoon learning.
