Students may participate in a variety of fun activities with their peers, including snack, homework and reading, outdoor play and enrichment activities. Homework Heroes provides a safe place on school campuses where students can strengthen academic skills and participate in age-appropriate activities while improving social skills.

Families with children enrolled in Chico Unified School District elementary schools (in grades 1-5) are eligible to apply if their school offers a Homework Heroes program.
In our initial program rollout, the following schools offer Homework Heroes. We look forward to expanding this program throughout the year.

Homework Heroes is free to all participating families. Families will be contacted when they have been selected for an available opening. Children who apply, but are not enrolled, will be placed on a wait list. To be considered for enrollment, you must complete a Homework Heroes After School Program online application.

Attendance Information and Policy
The Homework Heroes Program has a flexible attendance policy.
- Students must attend at least twice per week.
- Students can be picked up any time before 4:00 p.m.
- There is an application required for the Homework Heroes Program.
Hours of Operation
Elementary School Homework Heroes (for grades 1-5) operate every regular school day until 4:00 p.m., including minimum days.
