Please direct Field Trip questions to the Transportation Coordinator. Completed Bus Field Trip Request forms are needed to hold a spot and need to be in our office at least two weeks in advance. The more notice, the better! Trips are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may e-mail your completed Bus Field Trip Request forms to secure your spot sooner. Recommended seating is between 60-65 students per bus.
 
Note: If you are planning on using a charter bus, you must contact the Transporation Coordinator immediately. We need to have the driver, bus, insurance and terminal information on file before the charter can transport any CUSD students.
 
To estimate the cost of a trip go to googlemaps.com:
Start from the corp yard (2455 Carmichael Dr.) to your school site to the desired destination then back to your school site and back to the corp yard. You must also add one hour to the time for the driver's pre & post trip inspections of the bus. This formula should hopefully give you a good idea of the cost of your trip. You may also want to add the hours of the driver's idle time at the destination to give you a more accurate estimate.
 
For a shuttled trip, the mileage will increase but the driver's time will decrease. Transportation will decide if a trip can be scheduled as a shuttle or not.

Weekdays - $0.84 Per Mile & $35.00 Per Hour (Driver)
Weekends/Holiday/Overnight - $0.84 Per Mile & $45.00 Per Hour (Driver)
