Please submit pricing on items to be furnished by the vendor on the attached sheets in accordance with all conditions and specifications.
 
 
 
Completed bid packet shall be delivered or mailed to the attention of: Vince Enserro 2455 Carmichael Dr. Chico, CA 95928 on or before March 20, 2026 at 9:00am. For electronic submissions, please email to: venserro@chicousd.org
 
Hard copies may be submitted via mail service or in person.  It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that the bid is submitted on time and to the authorized agent. 
The bid will be opened at said time but not read.  Faxed documents are not acceptable and will not be received. 
Chico Unified School District reserves the right to reject any or all quotations and to waive any formality of the bid.
Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
All bids received on or before March 20, 2026 by 9:00am will be reviewed, judged and awarded.
The RESULTS will be presented for approval to the Chico Unified School District Board during the April 2026 board meeting. The results will be announced following board approval in the April 2026 meeting. Questions regarding the bid and/or bid documents will only be accepted if submitted in writing.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS

Chico Unified School District is pleased to announce this posting for Requests for Proposal for bids for Child Nutrition food, dry goods, produce for the 2026-2027 school year.  The bids are due on or before 9:00 a.m. on March 20, 2026 at the District Nutrition Office located at 2455 Carmichael Dr. Chico Ca 95928. Interested vendors are referred to the Chico Unified School District Nutrition website for details, instructions, and submittal due date.  Sealed bids WILL NOT be reviewed publicly.  Bids will be reviewed and presented to the CUSD school board at the April 2026 board meeting for approval.  Once approved by the CUSD board the bid results will be made available to the public for viewing at:

PUBLIC CONTRACT CODE
 
SECTION 10140-10141
 (a) Public notice of a project shall be given by publication
   once a week for at least two consecutive weeks or once a week for
   more than two consecutive weeks if the longer period of advertising
   is deemed necessary by the department, as follows:
       (1) In a newspaper of general circulation published in the county
       in which the project is located, or if located in more than one
       county, in such a newspaper in a county in which a major portion of
       the work is to be done.
       (2) In a trade paper of general circulation published in San
       Francisco for projects located in County Group No. 1, as defined in
       Section 187 of the Streets and Highways Code, or in Los Angeles for
      projects located in County Group No. 2, as defined in said Section
      187, devoted primarily to the dissemination of contract and building
      news among contracting and building materials supply firms.
   (b) The department may publish the notice to bidders for a
   project in additional trade papers or newspapers of general
   circulation that it deems advisable.
   (c) In the case of the Department of Transportation, in lieu of
   the public notice described in subdivision (a), the public notice
   requirement of this section may instead be met by publishing the
   notice electronically on that department's Internet Web site.
 
The notice shall state the time and place for the receiving
and opening of sealed bids, describing in general terms the work to
be done and that the bids will be required for the entire project and
for the performance of separate designated parts of the entire
project, when the department determines that segregation is
advisable.
