Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

 

Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Chico Unified! Reflecting on my first year as your Superintendent fills me with immense gratitude. Thanks to the warmth of this community and the hard work of our dedicated team, we laid a strong foundation together and I could not be more excited to build on that momentum for the 2026–2027 school year.

 

My focus remains unchanged: to support, inspire, and empower every student to become the absolute best version of themselves. Realizing that vision requires a true partnership between our schools, families, and community. As we step into this next chapter, I encourage you to stay deeply connected with our campuses, whether that means engaging with our academic and athletic programs, building strong relationships with our teachers and staff, or encouraging your students to jump into new opportunities.

 

Every new school year is filled with potential, and entering 2026-2027 alongside this extraordinary staff and community is a true privilege. On behalf of the entire Chico Unified family, thank you for your continued trust, energy, and partnership.
