California Education Code §234.6 requires school districts, county offices of education and charter schools to post on their websites policy and related information regarding the prevention of bullying and harassment.

Safe & Inclusive Environment

Suicide Prevention
The Governing Board recognizes that suicide is a leading cause of death among youth, prevention is a collective effort that requires stakeholder engagement, and school personnel who regularly interact with students are often in a position to recognize the warning signs of suicide and to offer appropriate referral and/or assistance. In an effort to reduce suicidal behavior and its impact on students and families, and other trauma associated with suicide, the Superintendent or designee shall develop measures strategies, practices, and supports for suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.
Cyber & Social Media Bullying
Chico Unified School District's Board Policy No. 5131.2 - Bullying supports our related policies and procedures surrounding cyberbullying and social media bullying.
Neurodiversity and Learning Resources
Per new legislation outlined in Assembly Bill 939 states, "The resources included pursuant to paragraph (1) that provide support for youth, and their families, who have been subjected to school-based discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying on the basis of neurodiversity shall include those developed by the University of California and California State University Collaborative for Neurodiversity and Learning."
